FORMER ROCKIES THIRD BASEMAN VINNY CASTILLA WAS THE FEATURED SPEAKER SATURDAY, AND WAS JOINED BY FORMER BRONCOS WIDE RECIEVER MARK JACKSON.
THE TWO SPOKE ABOUT THEIR CAREERS AND GAVE SOME ADVICE TO YOUTH ATHLETES.
THE EVENT HELPS RAISE MONEY FOR YOUTH BASEBALL IN GREELEY, WITH SPORTS MEMORABILIA BEING AUCTIONED AND RAFFLED OFF THROUGHOUT THE MORNING.
U-N-C BASEBALL PLAYERS HELPED OUT, SELLING RAFFLE TICKETS AND SHOWCASING THE AUCTION ITEMS FOR THE CROWD.

UNC hockey loses in semifinals to CU, 2-1 By Adam Ide             The University of Northern Colorado hockey team lost in the semifinals of the Big Mountain Hockey Conference playoffs to Colorado 2-1 Saturday at the Greeley Ice Haus.             The Bears were shut out through the first two periods, allowing two goals in the first but holding the Buffs scoreless in the second.             CU opened the scoring with just over nine minutes left in the first period, taking a 1-0 lead.
